When you look back on your wedding, the single most significant thing that people look at are your WEDDING PHOTOS, so when planning your wedding you need to make sure that you really pay close attention to certain things to enhance your wedding photos.
I have compiled a list of tips and tricks to ensure that your wedding day pictures are fabulous with a little from my photographer friend David from Beautiful Union Portraits. Of course you can apply these tips to your wedding plan in My Wedding Hero: wedding planning software.
Make-up
Always, always enlist the services of a great make-up artist. It can be someone professional or a friend that just knows how to apply make-up. Pictures always look better when the palette looks nice. This is a no brainer. If your make-up looks nice then the pictures are definitely going to reflect this and the pictures will look much better.
Light
Consider the amount of light at the ceremony and reception site. The more light the better and natural light is always good. It is easier for the photographer to work and produce good pictures when there is adequate light.Â
Time
Beautiful pictures take time. Make sure and give enough time for each picture to be taken when doing your pictures after the wedding. You don’t want to rush perfection.
Ceremony
When walking down the aisle make sure and go slow. You don’t want to move to fast and then your photographer is not able to catch every glorious moment of your grand entrance.
Reception
You have finally gotten through the ceremony and the announcement at the reception and it is time to take the dance floor, for the first time, as Mr. and Mrs, make sure that you try and refine from singing. I now it is going to be hard, but trust me it will make your pictures look so much better.Â
Meet your photographer
I encourage everyone to try and work with your photographer before the big day. Whether it is for engagement photos or to do your bridal portrait, make sure that you have a chance to get to see how the photographer works. You also want to see how they will work with you and your fiancé, as well as their style and personality. This will definitely help with ensuring that on your wedding day they know your style and personality and you know theirs.
Happy Planning,
