This week the Mile High City, Denver, CO, hosted the Democrat National Convention, so I thought we’d scope out a venue in the Denver area for your upcoming wedding. Don’t worry—we’ll head to Minneapolis-St. Paul to give equal time to the Republican National Convention. I’m a bi-partisan blogger!
Personally, I love Colorado. It’s graced by the Rocky Mountains and has some gorgeous locations to be married. LaPorte, CO, is about 60 miles from Denver, and it’s home to Tapestry House—an absolutely lovely place to tie the knot. The Tapestry House is “an elegantly handcrafted Victorian country manor set on a stunning five-acre setting of lawns, flower gardens, a meandering creek and majestic old-growth trees.”
Your wedding ceremony can be held in the lovely gazebo set under towering trees. Small wedding ceremonies and receptions may be held inside the Tapestry House or in the Reception Pavilion. You’ll have a fabulous spot for a larger reception in the Pavilion—open to views of the gardens and covered with twinkling lights. The Tapestry House can handle weddings from 10 guests to 225. Their prices depend on the number of guests and the day of the week you want to marry. The Tapestry House is also available for overnight rental and sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms, and if you choose to get married in January, February or March, they offer overnight rental of the Tapestry House for up to 12 guests for no charge.
Summer or winter, the location provides some beautiful spots for photographs, so your wedding album should be spectacular. The gardens and the house itself, which is wonderfully decorated during the winter holidays, are full of romantic photo opportunities! That’s why I nominate Tapestry House as one of the best places in Denver for you and your “running mate” to begin your term in marriage!
