The Last Resort for Aman and a Woman

Yes, it’s a mystifying title for a blog post, but you’ll get it in a sec. I’ve found the most amazing resorts for a destination wedding, and they’re all owned by the same company. I can’t improve on their own concept description: “The ethos of Aman is founded in simple luxury that is afforded by an exceptional location harmoniously blended with a unique environment resulting in contemporary and finely tuned resorts that offer, with outstretched arms, an enriching, enlightening and rewarding ‘lifestyle’ experience in which to willingly surrender.”

When I discovered these exotic destinations, I knew I couldn’t choose just one to highlight. There are more than a dozen resorts around the world—each one dramatically different, each one offering an inspiring wedding ambience that would have to be chosen by the soul it touches most. Majestic mountains, sparkling seas, pristine beaches, fragrant flowers, rainforests—you can put yourselves in a universe without limits.

Intriguing and enticing, the resorts will lure you to Bora Bora, Bali, the Caribbean, Morocco, Java, Moyo Island in the Flores Sea (I had never even heard of the Flores Sea!), Sri Lanka and Grand Teton National Park (practically in your own backyard!) And if you plan to get married in your own backyard, perhaps you’ll consider one of these luscious locations for your honeymoon. Any one of them puts the “O Man!” in “rOMANtic!”

I figured this last photo would get your getaway juices flowing. Imagine heading here when you turn in for the night. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this could be your suite for the night at Amankila on Bali. Next year, I’ll be celebrating a milestone wedding anniversary, and I think I’ve found a world of possibilities for our celebration destination!
