Designer Spotlight: Vatana Watters

Vatana WattersI spend a lot of time looking at wedding gowns, I mean, a lot!  So, it’s not very often I pop one of these “spotlights” up on the blog.  If you subscribe to any of the bridal mags for a while, you’ll notice there are some of the same pics & dresses (oh maybe different poses, models…).  You may find the ones you liked show up like old friends.   One of the things I happen like about repeat performances is it gives you the chance to decide if you really liked it when you saw it the first time!  All of that just to talk about a dress I hadn’t seen before.

So, there I was flipping pages when I saw this Vatana Watters lovely show up.  Now, mind you, I’ve seen the Watters ads (and the Wtoo ones too), but this one I had to stop and look at twice.  This ivory silk organza beauty is Style 4063B (available in size 0 to 24).  While it was the intricate crochet sleeve that first caught my eye (felt like I hadn’t seen anything similar to that in while - at least not crochet), it was really the whole look that made me go “ooh”.   While it is elegant, it is also touchable.  It is one of the few dresses I’ve seen that made me feel like the bride could be both the princess and the party girl without changing her clothes!
