Some of you may remember our very busy bride-to-be and blogger, Kate. (See her great post about shoes!) Even with her madcap schedule, Kate will be sharing some of her inspiration, ideas and finds with us in her pre-wedding journey as “quick, easy-to-read posts.” Welcome to the first of these posts in our new feature we call: Kate’s Quickies.
Upon perusing the newest Anthropologie catalog last night, I started to wonder why I hadn’t seen many Moroccan inspired weddings. Just look at that beautiful tiled mosaic - it brings a gorgeous color palette to play with! The dress itself would make a fabulous bridesmaid dress. You could even grab a bunch of brightly painted ceramic tiles, scrawl your guests’ names across their surfaces, and prop them up as seating cards in a beautiful mosaic atop a table at the entrance to your reception. Looking for a unique wedding theme? Look no further, head to Casablanca!
Oh, Casablanca! Kate, you’re so right. A Moroccan theme would be beautiful. As for “the” Casablanca, it still boggles me how a movie where the guy loses the girl is still considered one of the most romantic movies ever.
