Aside from my fiance, falling love hasn’t been easy. As a true connoisseur of the fashion runways, I follow the fashion trends practically subconsciously. However, my credit card statements are the furthest from Miss Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City Manolo fame. I’m a bargain shopper - and I can’t bear the thought of EVER paying over $500 for a pair of Italian stilettos. In fact, the majority of my shoes were purchased for well under $100 at the local Target (pronounced tar-jhaaay).With that said, my love at first sight occurred on a chance shopping trip to a rather upscale mall that contained a Valentino boutique. Motion blurring, not able to see much else but the glass case ahead, I stumbled towards my captor, as my Cupid’s victim, literally falling “head over heels.” Since that fateful day, I cannot get them out of my mind. I searched high and low for weeks, but alas, to no avail the heels were not to be found in my precious internet shops - nor on the maker’s website.
I finally put my foot down - if I couldn’t find them, I’d make ‘em myself! I used my trusty internet search engine and found a couple of fabulous options for those interested in customizing their dream shoes without the dream shoe price tag.

That Couture
http://www.thatcouture.com
With 10 different shoe shapes - who could go wrong? From flats to heels, from open toe pump to knee-high boots, you’ve got options. With three different textures and 30 different colors you can truly make them yours. If you have a fabric in mind, they will custom make your dream shoes - just send them a photo and the fabric and you’re set!

Emmy
http://www.emmyshoes.co.uk/
Specializing in custom made wedding shoes, Emmy works out of her London shop, but ships to the US. You can order your custom made wedding shoes on her online shop, pay with PayPal and have them shipped right to your front door! She will embellish the shoe shape of your choice in a plethora of designs using rhinestones and even feathers!

Shoes USA
http://www.shoesusa.com/
Looking for some height but having a hard time finding a platform shoe that’s wedding appropriate? Shoes USA is a great resource for uber-glamorous heels in up to 5.5″ tall!

Converse
http://www.converse.com
I’ve noticed a rather comfy trend where the entire wedding party wears their Chucks instead of their party shoes. Usually the guys will all wear brand new black Chuck Taylors - to keep it classy - but the girls will venture out in all different colors, from white to pink. I love this idea - you could even further customize them with rhinestones if you like a little sparkle!

Thanks guys! I’m thinking that if the whole Tax Rebate bill goes through, I might just use it to stimulate the custom shoe economy!!
