Ideas from a Bride to Be

The My Wedding Hero staff welcomes guest contributor and bride to be, Kate Whelan, of The Wedding Blog. Kate’s profile says she’s a California bride who is “planning the party of a lifetime.” We agree and we’re so glad she’s willing to share her first-hand experiences with us.

From Kate:

Hello there Brides-to-Be, Grooms-to-Be, & all Wedding Parties involved!

I’m Kate and I myself am a Bride-to-Be on the way to the altar. I’m recently engaged and here to share with you my planning tips, tricks and design tastes. My blogs will document the steps I took during this process, to keep track of my wins and losses, and to have a sounding board for my Bridezilla frustrations (should there be any).

Many choices have yet to be made - but the few things that we do know are that we will be wed on October 4, 2008 at a Winery in Northern California. Our colors will be green, black and white and centered around heavy graphic damask and thick French stripe patterns. I’ve included a copy of my Idea Board below. Any thoughts?

Welcome again, Kate! We look forward to following you through your adventure.

Julie - I’ll have to write a post on how to make quick, easy Idea Boards, as they are definitely super handy for making sure all your ideas work well together. I think it’s a tool that needs to be shared. ;)
