Today is the final post in our 12 Days of Christmas series as we’re pulling together days 9 through 12. We’re wrapping up the “9 ladies dancing, 10 lords a-leaping, 11 pipers piping, and 12 drummers drumming” in one big package because that sounds like a real party! LOL!
Naturally, we’re talking music and entertainment. Depending on the size of your reception, you could choose anything from DJs to live bands. Places like Decidio.com can help you find local talent and websites like NYCityWeddings.com can help you choose music to dance by. Speaking of dancing, if you get a little shy on the dance floor, consider taking a few lessons ahead of time.
To tie back to the 12 days of Christmas theme we started with on Boxing Day, the 12th day of Christmas also means the 12th night. If that rings a few bells for some of you, the Twelfth Night holiday is the coming of the Epiphany and the conclusion of the twelve days of Christmas. You literary minded folks will also note Twelfth Night is the name of a play by William Shakespeare.
And I can’t think of a better way to wrap up here than with a quote from the Bard’s Twelfth Night:
“If music be the food of love, play on…”
