It’s a myth that all love songs are created equal. Some very popular songs may seem appropriate for your first dance, but you might be surprised upon a closer listen. For example, “With or Without You” by U2 is ultimately about not being able to live with the one you love. “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston is a sad song about lost love. And the winner in this category of “love songs gone bad,” Sting singing “Every Breath You Take” which isn’t about a spellbound lover but a stalker!
So today’s tip for the bride: Listen closely to the words of any special song to be played on your wedding day.
