Happy December to all! The My Wedding Hero staff is indeed happy today as we just launched our “Gifts of the Season” giveaway with an individual total prize value up to $250.

In case you missed the big red banner at the top of our webpages, we are accepting entries for a cash prize drawing. In the spirit of the season, we wanted to give one of you the chance to give as well as receive! So not only could you win some cash but we’ll also donate an equal amount to charity.

Each Monday between now and Christmas, we will discuss an organization that we believe has a worthwhile cause. We’ll announce the winner on December 25th!

That being said, our charity focus today is the Brides Against Breast Cancer program from MakingMemories.org.

The Mission Statement for Brides Against Breast Cancer:

“To provide an opportunity for metastatic breast cancer patients’ dream or wish to be fulfilled by providing a special time of ‘Making Memories’ together with their families, a chance that might not have become a reality without the assistance of the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation.”

“To advance the awareness of breast cancer and to educate the public about the vast resources and support available to breast cancer patients and their families.”

It is almost comprehensible that two words - breast cancer - can wholly and completely impact everything a woman feels about herself, her body, her family, and her life. To those involved in this struggle, we wish you wellness, recovery, love and support. Most of all, we wish for everyone a cure.
