Honeymoon Kisses - Part 1 of 2

Honeymoon Kisses

When was the last time you had a really awesome kiss? (I hope that was recently you spouses to be!) I think the only thing better than a toe-curling kiss is receiving that kiss in a perfectly romantic setting!

So, toe-curling aside, I was thinking – what would that perfect location be?

Standing surfside on a sun-washed beach?
Cuddled up to a cozy fireplace with the winter winds outside?
Impromptu dancing during a rooftop star-watch?

Ah, I’m letting my romance show!

Here’s the United States version of 5 romantic places to kiss, in no particular order - (yeah, I squeezed in a personal favorite or two!):

#5 - Urban Kisses - The Empire State Building – Thanks to Sleepless in Seattle (the 1993 romantic comedy starring the totally cute twosome Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan), many people think of the observatory deck as one of the most romantic places in the US. Of course, some of us with a bit more grey in our hair or a fondness for the silver screen will remember there would be no Sleepless without An Affair to Remember (1957, Grant/Kerr)! Day or night, this is one of my personal favorites.

#4 Tex-Mex Kisses - The San Antonio Riverwalk - Those of you yearning for a little something deep in the heart of Texas will find San Antonio is the perfect fit. A popular choice for tourists since the 1950’s, the Riverwalk offers shopping, dining and other events along its charming walkways, all tinged in the flavors of Mexico and Texas that give San Antonio its unique ambiance. Those are spicy pepper kisses!

#3 Eskimo Kisses - Alaska’s Glacier Bay - Ok, not IN the bay but on it! Imagine watching the amazing humpback whales from the deck of an incredible cruise ship making its way through the unbelievable backdrop of tidewater glaciers. Did you catch that whale flying as it leapt from the icy waters? Kiss your sweetheart in celebration and you’ll learn why those frozen arctic nights can get downright toasty!

#2 Cotton Candy Kisses - Chicago’s Navy Pier - Now this one conjurs up images of night skies and neon lights, the scent of cotton candy and popcorn in the air, and the laughter and playfulness of a carnival. Wrap all that around a ferris wheel ride with a top of the world kiss and you’ve got grown up magic in childhood playground! After all, couples that play together, stay together!

#1 Paradise Kisses - Na Pali Coast State Park, Hawaii -No kiss list is complete without a taste of paradise and Hawaii’s Na Pali Coast certainly fits the bill. Whether you choose to snorkel, sail or simply let the surf wash over your sunsoaking body, this bit of Heaven on Earth makes saltwater kisses my number one choice for the true heart of romance.

Think your favorite spot should have been listed? Leave a comment and tell the world about it!

Check us out tomorrow for Part 2, the International version of romantic kisses!

Great post Kristen, I really enjoyed it! I especially liked the kiss “nicknames” for each one. Cotton Candy Kisses - think that is classic!
