Photographer Planning in My Wedding Hero

My Wedding Hero Photograhpy Planning

Just a quick tip for you regarding communicating with your photographer – Make a list!

Send your photographer a list of all important family and wedding party members a week or so before the actual event. Don’t expect them to automatically know who everyone is!

Share your ideas for family groupings based on your list. This will help them in the planning stages for your stills as well as provide a checklist of people they want to be sure and get in photos. It will help the photographer fit the groupings you want into the time frame provided for the photo shoot.

Don’t hesitate to use your My Wedding Hero software to make this a quick and easy task! Here’s how:

Photography Planning Guide

Start your photography planning right away with pre-loaded suggestions of many traditional wedding shots. My Wedding Hero has organized shot suggestions into these categories:

  • Portraits: Bride’s Photos
  • Portraits: Groom’s Photos
  • Portraits: Bride and Groom Photos
  • Pre-wedding
  • Ceremony
  • Reception

Each category lists specific shots that you may discuss with your photographer to be sure you capture priceless memories. You can even add notes and allow comments from your “wedding planning team” of family and friends.

Create your own

Make it personal by adding your own photography planning items. Just click the link to “Create a new photography item” and you are on your way. When you are finished, you will have your own customized list of wedding shots to share with your photographer.

When you meet for your planning session, bring your list and be prepared to discuss your thoughts and preferences. Remember, the time spent with your photographer is very worthwhile for both you and the photographer. Now what are you waiting for, start your photography planning now.
