Bridal Bouquets

Bridal Bouquets

Aside from the gown itself, I can’t think of another item that truly focuses on the bride’s individual style and taste! While you could opt to follow the latest trend in this area, be sure that you choose something that is “you.” That’s an accessory that will be with you from “Here Comes the Bride” to “Last Call.”

Bouquets can come in as many shapes, sizes, and colors as there are flowers! You can choose from styles like:

That’s just a few! Speaking of styles, Bridallinks.com has a great list of floral definitions that covers everything from Biedermeier to Wrist!

You can even choose some less structured and more free-flowing like this calla lilies beauty at The Delighted Eye.com. (By the way, The Delighted Eye also had this simply stunning calla lily and lilac round bouquet. Talk about incredible color!)

A few tips for your floral focus point:

  1. If you’re on a budget, seasonal flowers can help you cut costs.
  2. Use grass, feathers, rhinestones, tiny pearls and other unusual accents to personalize your choice.
  3. You can use the bouquets to echo your color theme or not. Perhaps your gown has a ribbon you want to echo or you want it stand out with a completely different color.
  4. When you think you know what you want, get a sample mini bouquet to be sure!

Don’t be afraid to think outside the bloom!

A friend told me to hand out flowers to my mom and mom-to-be at the ceremony. I’ve never heard of this before. Do you know what she might be talking about?

Hey Teresa, some brides add two white roses to their bouquet. As the bride and her mother walk down the aisle, the bride gives one of the roses to her mother. After the couple are officially “man and wife,” the bride gives the other rose to her mother-in-law.
