What about the Groom?

Bride and Groom

Here is some great advice from the Groom’s point of view: “Don’t talk to everybody but the groom-to-be about the wedding.”

If you spend all your time giggling with your bridesmaids, your sister, your mom, his mom, about the wedding plans, your fiancé may feel he’s not really a part of the whole event. And trust me, you don’t want to give him any excuse to start acting that way.

If you’ve never asked him whether he’d like to have maple candies shaped like leaves, acorns and pumpkins and gathered in chiffon bags tied with ribbon at each guest’s place setting for your Autumn themed wedding, it’s a bit unfair to expect him to act overly excited about driving three hours to that specialty store to pick them up. (Come to think of it, here is a link for those maple candies, yum!)

So ask your groom-to-be what he thinks - and more important, listen.

Well since this was a post about grooms, I thought I would add my 2 cents. You are right that it is hard for me to get as excited about things since I’m usually not asked. On the other hand, I love to make my bride-to-be (hey Julie!) happy so whatever she wants gets my vote too.
