Discussing Bridal Shows with Industry Insiders – What a bride should see.
Continuing our exploration of the bridal show, we asked what the top things were a bride should see. Our insiders touch on some of wealth of options the bride will thread her way through.
MWH: What are the top 3 things a bride should see at a show?
RICHARD: It’s more important to avoid things you have already made decisions about. In all likelihood, your initial decision was right – seeing all sorts of different options is more likely to cause you to question the decisions you have already made. Having said that, go around taking in the fun and beauty of the show and enjoy it. Planning one’s wedding should be fun, and this can be one of the fun memories.
AMYE: Everything, everything and everything! These shows have so much to offer a bride, she shouldn’t miss anything. Even if a bride has already booked a certain service, they can still get ideas from other vendors.
JENNIFER:
- Fashion: Many girls have just gotten engaged when they go to their first shows. They have no idea what to look for or where to start. I suggest relaxing during the many bridal shows.
- Cakes: I always love looking at and even tasting cake at shows. The top reason is you don’t have to spend the extra time and gas in order to make tasting appointments, bakers usually have a treat or 2 for you to sample as well as plenty of designs on hand to look at.
- Photographers: We have a dedicated showcase for our photographers to show their best wedding portrait. It’s a nice relaxing gallery and you are able to meander through the photos without being stressed by a sales person. It’s a way to break up the trade show monotony.

With so many choices, what’s a bride to do? For me, I’m really into the sweet stuff so tasting cake has to be at the top of my list, yum

I’m going to have to side with Amye on this one! I wouldn’t miss a thing! And so many neat and different things that I would never even think of are popping up at every show.

Wow! I love seeing the feedback from our readers! I am still amazed at all things involved in bridal shows. I know Kevin and I had a great time with this topic. I can’t wait for the next show in my area!
