“Forget the gifts, we’ll take the cash.” Yes, I’m sure if you say it THAT way, you’re going to offend a few people. Gift giving, even under normal circumstances, can sometimes be a brain wracking experience. What do you give that loved one who has everything? What do you give that loved one who could use everything?! Cash can be the simplest answer.
