Bridecast Feature at My Wedding HeroMy Wedding Hero (www.myweddinghero.com) was built on the idea that planning your wedding should be a fun and social activity, much like the wedding itself. Our team works hard to bring unique and useful ideas to the “always connected” bride and one of our newest social features is called “Bridecast.”

What is Bridecast?
The idea of Bridecast is simple: it is a way to share information from your wedding plan with others. You can think of it like broadcasting your wedding information - which is how we decided on the name Bridecast.

What can I do with the Bridecast feature?
The Bridecast feature is integrated with your wedding plan messages. This enables you to send a message from your plan to others with just a few clicks. For example, let’s say there is a wonderful message about your upcoming ceremony and you would like to share this with people that don’t have access to your wedding plan. No problem. From the message view, just hit the bridecast link and off you go.

What are my options for sending a Bridecast?
In this day and age, there are plenty of choices for sharing information. The Bridecast feature offers several options with more to come in the future:

  1. Send by email - send your message to any email address.
  2. Post to MySpace - If you have a MySpace account, post your message to your personal MySpace page.

When I choose a message to share, what exactly is sent?
Bridecasting a message will include the message title, message content as well as all comments.

When will you add other Bridecast services?
We will be adding more ways to share your wedding plan information very soon. If you would like to request a particular service (such as Facebook or Wordpress), contact us and let us know.

Save a copy of your Wedding Plan

Save a copy of your My Wedding Hero planAsk any bride and she’ll tell you, planning a wedding comes with a lot of choices. Given that the average wedding plan takes 12 months, you are bound to have a large collection of ideas, to-do’s, contacts and messages before you get to your big day. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could save a copy of your wedding plan as you go along, just in case? There are many reasons why you might want to save a copy of your wedding plan and My Wedding Hero makes it easy for you to do just that.

Saving a copy of your wedding plan in My Wedding Hero is quick and easy. Just follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the home page - wedding settings.
  2. Scroll down the page to the “Save a copy” section.
  3. Your wedding plan will be saved as a PDF so you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  4. Click on the save button to generate a PDF of your entire wedding plan.
  5. Once your PDF is generated, you can save, print or email your wedding plan.

Save your plan as often as you like. This feature is also great for wedding planners to archive copies for their brides.

Will I be able to save attachments with this feature?
No, the PDF does not include attachments such as photos or documents. It does record names of attachments for your reference.

Can anyone save a copy of my wedding plan?
No, only users with an access level of “admin” or “primary” can save a copy of a wedding plan. “Guest” level users will not have access to this feature. One way this may be helpful is if you want to share your plan with someone but don’t want them to be able to quickly capture all of your planning details (such as your guest list).
