Richmond’s My Wedding Hero Launches Social Wedding Planning Site
Manakin Sabot, VA. — My Wedding Hero, a self-funded start-up based outside of Richmond, said that it has launched an online wedding planning site that gives online access to bridal couples, planners and organizers. The site, www.myweddinghero.com, allows registered users to set and track calendar events, manage to-do and guest lists and share comments on message boards. It also features a blog, where users can provide feedback and share thoughts on a variety of wedding-related topics. CEO Kevin Harrison said that his design firm Webpoint Systems spent about four months designing the site, which hopes to take on some of the more established players in the market with its array of social networking features. “We think that planning the wedding should be a social event, just like the wedding itself,” said Harrison.
